THE FIRE SAFETY ORDER 2005 AND RESPONSIBLE PERSON
At the end of the full day course attendees will have improved knowledge and awareness of the following subjects:
- The non-prescriptive and proportionate approach to achieving compliance with the Fire Safety Order 2005 using a fire risk assessment as the basis for determining what preventive and protective measures are necessary in a premises.
- The meaning of the terms Responsible Person, Relevant Person, Competent Person and General Fire Precautions.
- The unconditional nature of the fire safety duties and responsibilities imposed on Responsible Persons and others with duties under the FSO 2005
- The audit process and the statutory enforcement options available to the fire authority
